New things around here...

With the move and career change, let's just say we have been busy!  Everyone is doing well and every day is a new adventure with a busy little toddler around.

Here is just a glimpse at life with Parker...

This was the morning that Parker decided he did not want to wear his diaper, so he came over and handed it to me.  Then he walked back over to his tool bench and continued playing like nothing was wrong.
Helping Dad at Home Depot
"Come on, Mom!  Let's go to church!  I don't have time to put my shoes on!"
Breakfast time!
Silly face!
Smoothies with Dad has become a nightly favorite :)
Trucks and puzzles - what more could a toddler ask for?!
Relaxing with Dad on the hammock!
HA!  I love this boy!
Playing the piano at Gigi and Super Grandpa's house
These are the backseat shenanigan's that happen on road trips with this kid.  He was so proud of himself.
Parker's first day of daycare and Mommy's first day back to work!
We got Parker a potty chair to start the process of potty training.  This is what happened the first time we introduced it...
Apparently our new couches are not as comfortable as the armrest storage compartment.
Parker was sick for a few days so he decided that all the rules in the house were off - I assume he thought the cool shades would distract me from the real issue at hand...
Did I mention Mimi is here for a visit?!

Brittany Miller, Real Estate Agent..?

As most of you have probably heard (or read on Facebook), I have started a new career!  I have always secretly wanted to be a real estate agent as I thought it would be a fun adventure and I could be successful at it, but it was not until a few weeks ago when I was presented with an opportunity that I decided to actually pursue this secret goal.

From reading my last blog, you can see that our adventures in home buying were less than desirable.  However, we did form a friendship with our broker and his wife during the process.  Through our endless meetings and countless offers, apparently he saw something in me that inspired him to offer me a job at his company!  So, about four weeks ago, I quit my job as a medical transcriptionist, ordered my textbooks, registered for my class, and started studying for my Florida state real estate license exam!  I passed my exam this past Thursday, and it has been nonstop ever since!

I work at Sunlight Realty along with Sam and his wife, Winifred.  They are fantastic and I have discovered the feeling of loving my job!
